What does in lieu of flowers mean?
It means the family has asked for donations instead of flowers. You can honor that, or send a small arrangement to the family home. A card with a donation note is always appropriate.
How do I know my flowers arrived?
We text or email you when your arrangement is placed. If you are ordering from out of town, you will have confirmation before the service begins.
Should I send flowers to the funeral home or to the family home?
For the visitation or the service, send to the funeral home. If you would like them enjoyed longer, or the obituary says private service, send to the family home.
What should I send to a service at Metcalf?
Immediate family sends the casket spray. Friends, coworkers and extended family send a standing spray or wreath for the chapel. Plants and baskets travel home afterwards.
